The Journey Puzzle
Mordillo was always known for his colorful images and humor in his cartoons and animations. In this image, Mordillo creats a place where flying is how people get around showing people wearing wings, on flying contraptions, or even something that looks like a flying beanbag. The main contraption resembles a colorful mechanical bird with the passengers clearly on a journey of some distance. All through the scene, the birds show their confusion as they compete with the "people" flying around them. The puzzle has a lot of blue so the background will be the challenge. If you notice, the background is gradiated so you so have some color differences and there is a frame around the image that should help with the edge pieces. The dominant element in the image is the large flying machine and the wings in particular should be easiest to pick out in the sorting of the pieces. There are also enough color changes between various parts of the image so those can be sorted out as well, In the background, there are images like the little puffs of smoke, stars and other shapes that can help break up the image.
